Welcome to the Churches Together in Devon website!

 

 

Churches Together in Devon helps the churches in their united mission and service among the people who live and work in Devon.

 

Churches Together in Devon is the sponsoring body of 20 Local Ecumenical Partnerships (LEPs) and four Local Covenants, and supports nearly 40 local ecumenical groups.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Churches Together in Devon has four key areas of work:

 

  1. To share knowledge and create an understanding of each other between different Christian traditions.
  2. To develop and support new mission initiatives
  3. To encourage partnership working between denominations
  4. To respond to crucial issues of the day as and when neccessary with a united Christian voice.

Prayer Cycle  

 

At the very heart of the ecumenical movement is the reality of prayer. Jesus prayed that we may all be one, united in God in the mystery of the Trinity. That is the basis and the goal of our search for unity.

 

The Ecumenical Prayer Cycle enables us to journey in prayer through every region of the world and through every week of the year affirming our solidarity with Christians all over the world, brothers and sisters living in diverse situations, experiencing diverse problems and

sharing diverse gifts. Lord, hear our prayer ...
